Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and chosen password (stored securely hashed). When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Paystack — we do not store your credit card details. We also collect usage data such as which features you use, analysis runs, and bet tracking entries.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; process payments; send transactional emails (account confirmations, subscription receipts); communicate product updates if you opt in; and analyse usage patterns to improve features. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and encrypt sensitive data at rest. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Paystack for payment processing (subject to Paystack's privacy policy); Supabase for database hosting; and standard web hosting infrastructure. Each processes data according to their own privacy policies.

6. Your Rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to: access your personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your data; object to processing of your data; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain information. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
